DECO

This is a series of drawings made in 2011.
Designs dedicated to a dear friend who died the same year: Andrea D'Annunzio.
Andrea was a Make-uper and Hair-stylists in the world of fashion and television.
During the period when Andrea was fighting with death, I wanted to prepare him for these illustrations. I would have wanted to give these to him personally, unfortunately Andrea it disappeared before I could do this.
The subjects represented are the result of many influences of art (art-deco, liberty, futurist Theatre, Expressionism, cinema '20s, etc.).
They are all figures without scene as actors-mimics posing.
Themselves are art. Their looks are dreaming.
Their body, their installation, their make-up are the protagonists of the composition.
Make-up, costumes, the body as a work of art.
The sense of creativity of Andrea.
The project is still under study.
